I have missed having time to post here in the last few weeks. I have been busy building a new desktop computer and working on photos for the web site at my new job. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the evening to get everything done.
I attended a forum on photographing a still life that my photo club had on Monday night. Here are a couple of the shots I took during the forum. We had a lot of fun and got some good tips on composition , lighting, and materials to use for our still life shots.
In the first shot we used a continuous light behind an umbrella to light the scene.
In the next shot we used a wireless trigger attached to our camera to set of a flash off to the right of the scene.
I would encourage you to look into a club in your area and attend a few meetings. You can learn a lot, meet some new people, and develop your skills as a photographer.
Until next time —
