About

I have been interested in art since childhood. Expressing myself creatively over the years has included drawing, painting, macrame, woodworking, carpentry, landscaping, food sculpting and cooking. My IT career led me into working with web sites and with digital graphics. During a career transition this interest took me as far as getting a certification in web design.

Over the past few years I have developed an interest in photography. I bought my first digital camera in 2002 – a 3 megapixel Olympus D3000. Using digital media allowed me to take more pictures than I had with my film camera and just print my better photos. During this same period I started to learn a variety of post processing software which was needed for my job.  After about 4 years my Olympus died on me and was replaced with an upgrade to a Canon Rebel XSI. I later upgraded my camera to a Canon T4i to give me a little more leeway in taking low light shots.  I recently upgraded again to a Sony A7 III which I really like because I can hand hold my camera again and get good shots. I bought a Metabones adapter with it so that I could use my Canon lenses with it as well as my Sony lenses.

A couple of years ago I decided to study photography in more depth. As my cache of photos has slowly grown I have started to look for a way to show them to others. Sharing some of the views of life seen through the camera lens or created during post processing brings me a lot of joy.

I hope you find that same joy in your visit here –

Hello, Do you sell your pictures? I am interested in the single wine glass where you are pouring in red wine. I believe it is actually 2 different pictures but I cld be wrong.

    • Thank you for being interested in my photography. I don’t sell it but would be interested in how you would like to use it. I am not sure which picture you are interested in. I have several shots of wine glasses but none in which wine is being poured. Please let me know the actual post you are interested in and what you plan on doing with the photo.
